About Emergency Management
The Emergency Management division of the Department of Public Safety coordinates all aspects of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery across Mayflower. Operating under an all-hazards approach, Emergency Management works with federal, state, and local agencies to protect lives and property.
Whether facing natural disasters, public health emergencies, or other critical incidents, our team ensures that resources are mobilized quickly and effectively. Through planning, training, and coordination, we build resilience and maintain continuity of government operations during crisis situations.

Emergency Operations Center
24/7 coordination of statewide emergency response and resource allocation
Disaster Recovery
Managing recovery operations and coordinating federal disaster assistance
Preparedness Planning
Developing and maintaining comprehensive emergency response plans
Training & Exercises
Conducting disaster preparedness training and tabletop exercises with agencies
Mutual Aid
Coordinating resource sharing and mutual aid agreements between agencies
Public Information
Communicating emergency information and public advisories during incidents
Hazard Mitigation & Prevention
Emergency Management works proactively to reduce risks and prevent disasters before they occur. Through community preparedness initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and risk assessments, we strengthen Mayflower's resilience.
